Walk and Talk Therapy is a gentle, nature‑based approach that takes place outdoors, walking side‑by‑side rather than sitting indoors. The steady rhythm of movement, fresh air, and the quiet presence of nature can help soften tension, ease overwhelm, and support the nervous system as it settles.
Many people find that talking while walking feels less intense than face‑to‑face conversation, creating a sense of spaciousness that makes it easier to explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Being in nature often brings a different kind of clarity—a grounded, steady pace that lets things unfold in their own time.
A walk‑and‑talk session is calm, steady, and unhurried. We choose a quiet route, walk at your pace, pause whenever needed, and let the natural environment support the work we’re doing.
It’s a way of being in therapy that feels spacious, grounded, and connected — a chance to breathe, move, and reflect in a way that often feels more accessible than sitting indoors.
Less Intensity
Walking side by side removes the pressure of direct, sustained eye contact, making it easier to talk through difficult or heavy
topics.
Natural Grounding
The open space provides a soothing backdrop that helps reduce anxiety and stress.
Physical Regulation
Gentle physical movement helps naturally release physical tension and can help you feel more connected to your body.
Your Pace
You set the physical pace of our walk. If a topic feels heavy or you need a moment to pause, we can stop and use one of the quiet benches.
When
I offer outdoor sessions every Thursday morning between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
Location
I will advise the location upon booking to ensure client confidentiality.
Clothing/Footwear
Comfortable walking shoes/trainers and weather-appropriate layers are encouraged.
Weather
Sessions can run in most weather conditions (a bit of Pembrokeshire drizzle won't stop us!), but we will always have a backup plan for online or phone therapy if the weather becomes genuinely severe.

Fees and Availability
Sessions last 50 minutes, cost £55, and usually take place weekly.
I also provide a limited number of spaces for counselling students. Please contact me to enquire about availability.
I offer a free 15-minute initial telephone session to help us briefly connect, discuss what you are looking for and consider whether working together feels like a good fit.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I require 48 hours' notice.
Sessions not cancelled or rescheduled within this timeframe will be charged the full session fee.
You’re welcome to get in touch with any questions about how therapy works or to arrange a first appointment. It’s a chance for us to talk about what’s bringing you here and to get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.
You can reach me by phone at 07763 785 249, or by email using the contact form if that feels easier.
Thallo Therapy is on social media, and you’re welcome to follow along there.
