About Me

Integrative Therapist | MBACP

Online Across the UK | Based in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire

I’m Nicki, an MBACP registered Integrative Therapist offering online counselling across Pembrokeshire and the UK. I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework and provide a calm, steady space where you can pause, breathe, and explore what feels difficult, confusing, or heavy.

My work is collaborative and attachment focused, shaped by how early experiences influence the ways we connect, protect ourselves, and relate to others. Together, we gently notice these patterns, creating room for new ways of being.

Thallo, the earliest sign of spring, reflects the kind of change I believe in. Quiet beginnings that grow steadily over time. I’m here to help you notice and nurture those shifts, grounded and at your pace.

My Approach

I work as a Humanistic Integrative Therapist, tailoring the work to you and drawing from different therapeutic models depending on what feels most helpful. My practice is grounded in the Person Centred approach, with influences from Gestalt, Existential perspectives, attachment based work, psychodynamic ideas, and creative modalities such as sandtray.

Person Centred therapy is the foundation of my work. It trusts your natural capacity for growth and supports you in staying with your experience in the here and now, developing clarity at your own pace.

Gestalt and Existential perspectives help us explore your lived experience more fully, noticing patterns, emotions, and relational dynamics as they emerge, and gently exploring themes such as choice, meaning, and authenticity.

Attachment based and psychodynamic ideas support deeper exploration of early relational experiences and unconscious patterns, and how these shape the ways you connect and protect yourself today. We pay attention to how these patterns show up in the present, creating new experiences of safety and connection within the therapeutic relationship.

Online sandtray therapy offers a gentle, symbolic way of working. Using a virtual tray and small figures, you can create scenes that express feelings or experiences that may be hard to put into words. It can bring clarity through imagery and metaphor, often becoming a natural part of the process.

What therapy feels like

Therapy offers a confidential, steady space where you can speak openly and be met with empathy, sensitivity, and no judgment. It’s a place to slow down, breathe, and explore what’s happening inside you at a pace that feels safe and manageable.

How we work together

We pay attention to the patterns, emotions, and protective strategies that shape how you respond to the world. This includes gently exploring how past relationships and attachment experiences may influence your present day feelings, reactions, and coping strategies.

How change begins

Change often starts with insight. As you understand yourself more deeply, new possibilities emerge, choices that feel steadier, kinder, and more aligned with who you are. Therapy supports you in moving toward clarity, confidence, and emotional ease.

How I support you

I work with a wide range of experiences, including:

  • Trauma and post traumatic stress
  • Anxiety and stress
  • Depression and low mood
  • Self esteem and confidence
  • Relationship and family difficulties
  • Anger and emotional overwhelm
  • Identity and sexuality
  • Work related challenges and burnout
  • Grief and loss

Frequently Asked Questions

Is therapy right for me?

Therapy can be helpful if you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or simply wanting to understand yourself more fully. If you’re finding things hard to manage alone, or you’d like a space where you can talk openly without judgment, therapy may offer the support and clarity you’re looking for.

What will the first session be like?

The first session is a gentle introduction. We’ll explore what has brought you here, what you’re hoping for, and how we might work together. There’s no pressure to share everything straight away; you can take your time and arrive exactly as you are.

How long do people usually stay in therapy?

Everyone’s needs are different. Some people come for a short period to focus on a specific situation, while others choose longer term therapy to explore deeper patterns or ongoing challenges. We’ll check in regularly, so the pace and length of therapy feel right for you.

Will what I say be kept confidential?

Yes. Confidentiality is central to therapy, and everything you share is handled with care and in confidence. There are a few legal exceptions, such as concerns about serious harm or the safety of a child or vulnerable adult, and we’ll go through these together in your first session, so you feel fully informed.

Location

Online therapy offers a calm, private space where you can connect from the comfort of your own home. Based in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, my approach to online therapy for adults is grounded in warmth, attunement, and collaboration, helping you explore what’s happening for you in a way that feels steady and manageable.

Working via secure video makes online counselling in the UK flexible and accessible, especially if you’re balancing work, caring responsibilities, or living in a rural area. Many people find that meeting online helps them settle into the therapeutic process more easily.

I also offer creative options such as online sandtray therapy when it feels right for your process. If you’re considering remote therapy sessions from Pembrokeshire or anywhere across the UK, we can talk through what you need and find a way of working that feels comfortable and supportive.

Fees and Availability

Sessions last 50 minutes, cost £55, and usually take place weekly. I also provide a limited number of spaces for students. Please contact me to enquire about availability. I offer a free 15-minute initial telephone session to help us briefly connect, discuss what you are looking for and consider whether working together feels like a good fit.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I require 48 hours' notice. Sessions not cancelled or rescheduled within this timeframe will be charged the full session fee.
